Lyrics to “Supersuckers Going Back To Tucson”

going back to Tucson
going back to where things went wrong
gonna find out why my friends are haunted
by the things that they’ve done wrong
going back to Tucson
back to where I once belong
gonna see if I can be the reason for the disagreements
going back to Tucson
don’t wanna grow up there again
now I see how some of them get grounded
stuck to the chairs they’re sitting in
going back to Tucson
back down the old I-10
gonna find out why I don’t know anything about anything now
going back to Tucson and I’m down
I’m down
so I’m getting out of Tucson
taken everything that ain’t nailed down
gonna wave good-bye to the unfortunate who stuck around
going back to Tucson and I’m down
and I’m down, I’m down

From the album Evil Powers of Rock n Roll

If you have not heard this, and if you don’t own it, you are doing yourself a grave injustice. Order it now, turn it up loud and hold on for the ride down Satan’s Highway. Seriously, from track 1 all the way to the end song after song just keeps getting better and better. Personal favorites are “Baby, you’ll regret me” and “Soul Taker!”

This is not green day type mtv punk. No, this is made by men old enough to drink and grow beards. Sorry kids, but you guys have to pay your dues and lots to learn before you can create punk rock like this. \m/

Electric Frankenstein is an American band from Whippany, Clifton, and other areas of New Jersey. Their music is generally considered punk rock, but includes elements of hard rock and Heavy Metal as well. Because of this, they have sometimes been referred to as AC/DC meets The Dead Boys. Their style of music is generally called High Energy Punk Rock & Roll, which combines the raw and energetic sounds of Punk Rock and Garage Punk (Dead Boys, Ramones, Damned, Misfits, etc.) with elements of Hard Rock played by bands like MC5, Stooges, AC/DC, Kiss, Mott the Hoople, Alice Cooper, and so on.

The Time Is Now is their first album, released in 1995 and deserves a spot in your punk rock collection.

I have followed the band for years, picking up almost every thing they have released – and while the band has matured the basic premise is still there and the musicianship greater than ever.
